I have a lot of questions.

Education is constantly in the news. Buzzy issues come and go. Yet much of the discussion feels incomplete.

In each edition of this newsletter, I dive deep into a specific issue and share what learn. I’ve been doing this sort of analysis for a couple decades as a non-profit leader in the education sector. These are my best attempts to organize the clutter.

I won’t bother you too much - just one post per month. If the piece is particularly long, I will break it up into a few parts. Subscribers have each newsletter sent directly to their inbox and receive full access to everything in the archive.

Who is Tim Daly?

Not the handsome devil who starred on Wings and The Sopranos. I’m the education Daly. I taught middle school in Baltimore before joining - and eventually co-leading - TNTP. In 2015, I helped launch EdNavigator, where I served as CEO until Dec. 2025.
